Grayhill’s 3D Series displays are built for the rugged conditions and harsh environments common in agriculture and construction vehicles. All displays in the 3D Series undergo rigorous testing to ensure they meet the ISO and ANSI specifications, such as environmental seal, temperature range and electrical conditions.
The 3D Series MicroDisplay is a 3.2-inch, backlit, transflective LCD for monitoring data on CAN-bus connected off-highway vehicles. The compact device makes it easy to create screens with custom graphics, text and even gauges that automatically adjust based on J1939 values. Because the MicroDisplay is controlled by J1939 commands, native coding is not required. Screens are created with a Windows PC-based software tool and commands are received from the vehicle’s ECU.
The Series 3D50 Display features intuitive touch technology to select objects and swipe through screens. An advanced sensor automatically recognizes between bare and gloved hands, even when the display surface is wet. Utilizing a 5-inch backlit WVGA LCD, users benefit from the high contrast text and graphics for excellent sunlight readability. A scratch-resistant, anti-glare window is bonded to the LCD to protect it and enhance optical characteristics. The Series 3D50 utilizes VUI Builder for easy integration with an ECU. This software tool is used to create screens and graphic objects that display real-time gauge data, alert messages, clocks/run meters, diagnostics, maintenance information, machine setups and instructions.
6.5-inch & 10.4-inch Displays
The 3D Series also includes a 10.4-inch and a 6.5-inch LCD with embedded single-board computers in rugged and sealed housings. These displays run a Windows CE operating system, although Linux can be specified as a custom variant. This creates a flexible display device on which many different apps can be run simultaneously, such as precision farming, GPS, camera video feeds, virtual gauges and many more!
