Grayhill’s new optical Ring Encoder is an innovative device that features a hollow shaft, allowing easy integration of electro-mechanical functions such as LEDs and center pushbuttons. The optical sensing technology allows a lifespan of 1 million cycles, making the Ring Encoder ideal for applications that require extended rotational life. It integrates a Schmitt trigger and pull-up resistor to save space and reduce costs, making it well-suited for compact designs. With its 5V and 3.3V power options, you can use it in standard or energy-efficient circuits.
